The booking Process

02

Have a Call

It’s always lovely to have a chat. If I’ve got your date free, then I’ll invite you onto a quick 20 minute zoom/phone call, where I can explain a bit more about my approach and what I offer as a wedding photographer Devon, as well as hearing about your wedding plans and any questions you might have. If you haven’t got many details sorted yet then don’t worry at all – I’ve got a wedding questionnaire form which I’ll send over closer to the wedding date, where you can add timings and specific details.

03

Make it official

As someone who doesn’t appreciate scrolling through pages and pages of contracts and paperwork, I’ve made sure that the booking process is super straight forwards. After the call, I’ll send over my terms and conditions (they’re short and concise, I promise!) and a booking form. Once you’ve sent them back with the deposit, I’ll be happy to confirm your booking!

Documentary wedding photographer FAQ

If you have any other questions, please see my other FAQ here, or get in touch I’d love to chat.
01.

How long do I stay for?

All my quotes for wedding photography are for full day coverage. This means that I’ll be there all the way through, from morning preparations, until the evening. The general rule is that I’ll stay until just after the first dance, but if there’s action happening, I’ll absolutely stay for longer. After all, it’s all about documenting the day completely and giving you a final product which you love.
02.

What’s a second photographer and do you need one?

A second photographer offers increased coverage of the day and it really comes down to personal preference as to whether you choose to add one in. I would generally recommend opting for a second photographer if you have 80+ guests (since this will require more coverage through the day), or if you’re after comprehensive coverage of moments like groom preparations.

Normally, I’ll try to pop between the groom preparations and bridal preparations in the morning, however if there’s not much time or they’re not located close together, this won’t always be possible. In this case, a second photographer could be focused on groom preparations, to get the coverage you’re after. They will then offer alternate perspectives of the events of the day (ceremony etc) and candid moments and you’ll get their photos included with mine in the final gallery and highlights.
03.

Is it possible to add on wedding albums and prints?

Yes, this is absolutely possible. If you’re interested, please do get in touch and I’d be happy to send you over my brochure.
04.

What are the best timings for the wedding ceremony/ drinks reception/ wedding breakfast etc?

I’ve been asked this quite a few times but in all honesty, it’s very much up to you. Many venues will have a wedding coordinator who will be able to help you with timings, but as a documentary style wedding photographer, my work is all about working around the day which you’ve planned. I’ll normally try to take you out for a few couple shots at the end of the reception/ after the wedding breakfast, but it all depends on the timings and the time of year too, so I’ve gotten very good at being flexible over the years!
