Hello! I’m Laura
It’s nice to meet you! I’m a wedding photographer in Devon, with a documentary style. I love warmth, atmosphere and emotion and this plays out in everything I capture. My approach? I look to create the type of images that are not only timeless, but which also spark an emotion. An emotion which, whether it’s two days or two years after the event, will instantly bring it all back. Because that’s the point of an image – to give meaning to a moment in time just as it was, pure and unapologetically real. From intimate golden hour moments to vibrant ‘I do’ euphoria, I’ll be there for it all.
As a wedding photographer Devon, I call the beautiful countryside of the South West of England my home base. However, this wasn’t always the case – I actually grew up in New Zealand (yes it does take 24 hours to get there and no it never gets easier!). Having spent much of my life travelling back to the UK to see close family however, I absolutely love travelling and would never turn down an opportunity to see a new place. So, whether you’re planning a beautiful Devon wedding, hoping to tie the knot in the Cotswolds or jetting off to Europe for your wedding adventures, I’ll absolutely be there for it.
If my approach resonates with you, then please get in contact – I’d love to have a chat.

Beautiful, unstaged narratives. That’s what it’s all about.

my Documentary style approach
Because after all, it’s the stories that we remember
Far from any staged, uncomfortable wedding photography that you might have come across, my relaxed and unobtrusive approach as a documentary wedding photographer in Devon is focused around building a narrative. A narrative that will truly showcase the emotions, feelings and nuances of your day, even those which you might have missed.
From lush dresses and funky groomsmen socks (and ties if you’re lucky) to quiet moments with your grandparents and Uncle Richard’s moves on the dance floor, I’ll be there for it all, quickly and quietly curating a story that you’ll keep with you for a pretty long time…

A few words on
Getting married in Devon
Although I grew up in New Zealand, I’ve been travelling to see close family in Devon for much of my life and so have always had a bit of a foot in both countries. Admittedly, my opinion may be slightly skewed because I love a country house wedding venue and Devon is full of these (Pynes House and Huntsham Court are some of my all-time favourites to mention a few), but the allure of Devon also lies in its beautiful landscapes.
From its sweeping hills to the dramatic red rock Jurassic coast, there’s always been something pretty special about this part of the world. Along both the North and South Coasts, Devon also has some unique coastal wedding venues – The Grain Store near Torquay in Kingsbridge is one of my favourites and I recently did an incredible Devon summertime wedding there, where the ceremony took place right by the sea. For those who love the idea of a celebration in a national park, a Dartmoor wedding amongst its expansive moorlands and untouched forests can be absolutely beautiful too. Plus, you’ve got Cornwall just next door if you wanted to extend your travels slightly while you’re in this gorgeous part of the country. All in all, I know I may be biased as a wedding photographer Devon, but Devon has definitely got quite a bit to offer when it comes to getting married in the UK.
